Approximately 50 trophies representing a protein were commissioned, over two years, for presentation at bioCom, an annual gathering of a consortium southern California biotechnology companies. Another set of trophies was made to denoted the successful initial financing of Harkness Pharmaceuticals, a San Diego based drug development company. Each piece is 15 inches high, built of polished stainless steel and mounted on a black marble base.
